Project Bayanihan, is a two-day workshop and training regarding “Anticipatory Transitional Justice happened in San Beda University College of Law last August 26, 2018. The event organized by the San Beda School of Law, was participated by around 35 attendees coming from different sectors of the society. In fact, Legal Network Truthful Elections (LENTE), an NGO, was one of the partner institutions that help make the event successful. The said NGO helped in training the participants on how to conduct proper documentation of victims of Extra-Judicial Killings (EJK) – both individuals and families. With this training, attendees were informed on how these said documents can be used as evidence for government abuse and violations of the so-called “due process” in order to help promote justice in the Philippine community. The event proper allowed me to realize how important is the role of an advocacy-driven NGO in helping us mold a more peaceful society.
