My exchange to the Philippines made me become a better version of myself. It made me look at the world in a new light. I learned that less is more and that gratefulness and acceptance is key to a more peaceful and understanding world. What may have seemed like a very distant culture to me at first is now a second home.
If someone were to ask me what the best part of my exchange was, I wouldn’t be able to answer because every little thing that happened and every little part of my exchange made my 4,5 months in the Philippines an experience I will never forget. AFS enables you to broaden your horizon and I’m forever thankful to have gotten the opportunity to meet and see all these new people and places.
