The start of 2018 has offered a lot of opportunities for AFS Philippines to widen its network among communities and schools around the country by officially implementing the new strategy of establishing AFS School Club.
AFS Philippines visited schools in Dumaguete City and subsequently, followed by visits in several other cities and provinces around the country where the team was able to meet and plan with school administrators, educators and students from 39 schools scattered all over the country and as a result, there were 28 schools committed to establishing an AFS School Club this year.
These school visit aims to introduce the AFS and its programs as well as new opportunities to both existing partner schools and potential partner schools. It encompasses the possible collaborations between AFS and the schools such as in establishing the AFS School Club and integrating intercultural learning and global citizenship education into the academic curriculum through domestic and international exchanges, virtual exchange and participation in various educational events both national and international.
